All About Me

Hello!  My name is Ms. Heather.  I am the new 4-6 Emotional Support Teacher at Locust Grove.  I am new to teaching and will be a part of the intern program to obtain my certification in Special Education.  I do hold a Bachelor's degree from Purdue Global.  I have been working in the behavioral health field for over 10 years, recently being at Wellspan Philhaven.  I worked in the Therapeutic After-school Program and I also worked in the York Hospital ED in the crisis department.  My passion is working with children with behavioral and developmental needs. 

I live in Windsor with my husband, Skip and our 3 boys, Beckham (12th), Alexzander (9th) and Sebastian (9th).  We also have 2 dogs, Blink and Lucy, 3 cats, Sombra, Quinn and Kit-Kat, and a guinea pig named Piggy.  We have lived here for 17 years.  

I enjoy crafting, going to my kids' sports and watching movies.  I love going to the beach and floating in a lazy river. 😄   I love pizza, cute gnomes and chocolate.  I am truly looking forward to this upcoming school year!
