About our Principal

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! Mr. Barry is honored and excited to serve the Red Lion community as the Principal of Locust Grove Elementary. Locust Grove has a long reputation for providing educational excellence to its students; together, we will continue that tradition.

Mr. Barry is a graduate of Millersville University of Pennsylvania and Wilkes University. Mr. Barry holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master’s degree; certifications include Elementary Education, Special Education, and Educational Leadership. Mr. Barry is working toward his Superintendent Letter of Eligibility and Doctoral Degree with Shippensburg University.

Mr. Barry is a proud member of the Red Lion Community and has been serving Red Lion students since 2014. Mr. Barry has worked in both the Red Lion Area Junior High School and Senior High School in several capacities prior to coming to Locust Grove.

Mr. Barry has been married for 8 years to his wife, Leisa, a Multiple Disabilities Support teacher in the Northern York County School District. Mr. Barry is the father of two sons, Henry (6), Jack (2), and a service dog Vale (8). Mr. Barry enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, and playing Ice Hockey.
