Meet Ms. Tassone

     Ms. Tassone is a proud 1996 honors graduate of Red Lion Area School District. She graduated from Millersville University in 2000 magna cum laude with a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration on Reading. While at Millersville, she received the Anna E. Beyer award for student teaching, as well as the Dana Messman scholarship for her positive attitude. Shortly after graduation, Ms. Tassone joined Red Lion Area School District as a kindergarten teacher at Mazie Gable. She also privately worked with students who qualified for English as Second Language and Learning Support services. Ms. Tassone continued her career as a kindergarten teacher at Clearview Elementary. While at Clearview, she changed her grade level focus to third grade which ultimately shaped her career path back to her personal childhood elementary school, Locust Grove. Ms. Tassone returned to Locust Grove in 2006 when her third grade teacher retired. Believing in the importance of the impact a positive educator can have, Ms. Tassone continues to take professional development courses in education to stay current with educational trends.
     In her free time, Ms. Tassone enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, reading, writing, nature, and singing in her jazz band, Five/Four Band.
